Starting out as a draftsman and estimator for an electrical contractor, she rose to the position of project manager then moved into general contracting where she was an assistant project manager, a mechanical superintendent, a field superintendent and a senior project manager.
Barbara A. Res served as an executive vice president of construction and development for the Trump Organization. Working closely with, now President, Donald Trump, she oversaw the construction of Trump Tower, the renovation of the Plaza Hotel and the development of the West Side Railyards, She served as Vice President of Club Quarters Hotels where she supervised new construction and renovations in major cities in the US and UK. Res was a Vice president overseeing development projects for Vornado Realty Trust and as Vice president for Hartz Industries, overseeing construction of 667 Madison Avenue, a building which bears her name on the cornerstone.
Barbara A. Res served as General Counsel for Integrated Water Technologies, a company that has a patent for cleaning the wastewater from hydro-fracking and supervised land use applications and real estate acquisition and leases.
